Durvis (Door) Gallery is an art space for creative outputs of contemporary artists. It is located in a building originally constructed in 1758 as a pharmacy and laboratory for a ducal surgeon, Johan Gotlob Groshke (1714-1777). Back in the day, it doubled as a storage facility for his collection of natural artefacts, coins and surgical instruments. The gallery earned its name from its historical 18th-century door in the Rococo style.

The gallery opened in 1988 as an art salon under the auspices of Tukums Museum. In 1997, it was moved to its present location – into the old pharmacy of Tukums that retains a number of 18th-century details. The building is listed as a historical monument of national importance, associated with the families of Groschke, Klein, Brederlo and Adolphi.

The gallery aims to take contemporary to the broadest possible public by exhibiting and promoting the creative talents of distinguished Latvian artists and artisans as well as young creators. The gallery sells art and crafts, a wide variety of souvenirs and publications by Tukums Museum and local authors.
