Meteorite Museum Meteoriti.LV (formerly The Small Meteorite Museum, SMM) was founded in 2015 as Latvia’s first museum in the field of meteorite studies. The museum holds the private collection of the project Meteoriti.LV, which is estimated to be the broadest of its kind in the Baltic States and even the wider region. The museum shows fragments of micro and macro meteorites from all continents. The collection contains more than 10% of samples from all meteorites dropped on Earth in the history of civilisation. Many meteorites are older than Planet Earth (4.5 billion years). On average, visitors to the museum stay there for 2 hours, which includes a popular science lecture comprised in the ticket price. All visits need to be booked in advance. Meteorite Museum Meteoriti.LV – the place to touch the space!
