Kuldīga District Museum invites you to take a step into the past by embarking on a journey through the largest open collection exhibition in Latvia. This exhibition highlights over 2800 objects from the museum’s collection, encouraging visitors to explore the history of Central Courland from the time when man first settled in the region until the present day. Moreover, here you can explore the majestic building of the Kuldīga branch of the Bank of Latvia and delve into the mysterious world of banks and money.

Free Entrance
For children of up to 7 years of age and students of local educational institutions, seniors, people with disabilities, families presenting the 3+ Family certificate, and orphans entrance into the museums is free of charge.
The exhibition “A Journey into the Museum Collection” allows visitors to not only gain knowledge but also enjoy the sensations evoked by cultural heritage, as well as immerse themselves in memories by seeing familiar objects that have already become part of history. At the end of the journey through time, our visitor returns to the 21st century and uses the experience acquired to see the world through slightly different eyes.
