Alūksne Museum is located in an architectural monument of national importance – the New Palace of Alūksne, built in the neo-Gothic style. The palace is surrounded by a landscaped park with renewed and restored small architectural forms.
Alūksne Museum offers 12 different displays and exhibitions about the history and artistic treasures of Alūksne. Visitors can examine finds from archaeological digs, feel the atmosphere of the times of Baron von Vietinghoff and appreciate the greatness of Latvian heritage. Everyone may also attend public lectures, museum education programmes and thematic events.
A guided tour with a museum specialist will transform your visit to the exhibitions, the palace and the park into a mysterious and illuminating adventure.
