Daugavpils University Museum was founded in 1993, and it is located on campus premises. The collections cover the period from the 1920s into the present day.

On the basis of existing museum resources and through continuous replenishment and development, the mission of Daugavpils University Museum is to identify, preserve, study and promote evidence (documents, photographs, memoirs and artefacts) on the development of the university from the early 20th century to the present day in order to inform, excite and educate pupils, students and the general public about the history of this higher education institution and its contribution to the development of education and science on regional, national and international levels.
Museum holdings include material, written, photographic and audio evidence accumulated over the years regarding the development of the university, its activities, staff and alumni.
