Museum exhibitions are thematically rooted in legends and fairy-tales, including those written down and authored by Lerhs-Puškaitis. The museum follows into the footsteps of the distinguished educator, who used oral folk traditions to stimulate the imaginative and cognitive abilities of his pupils, by offering its visitors an immersive museum experience. Visitors can examine the objects on display, listen to the fairy-tales of Džūkste area and tell some of their own, watch an animated film or a puppet theatre show and become its participants or throw birthday parties for children. Museum tours are most often led by a fairy-tale character from Džūkste. The younger visitors love retracing the journey of Sprīdītis, whereas adults tend to enjoy the display “Anss Lerhis-Puškaitis and Fairy-Tales”.
