Latvian Agriculture Museum invites to explore the development of agricultural disciplines, farming and country life in the rural areas of Latvia from the late 19th century into the present day. In the museum, you can find virtually everything that has to do with land, farming and country living.

Through thematic exhibitions, we highlight specific labours, crafts and agricultural disciplines and take a glimpse into the daily routines of country life. The museum’s special treasures are the self-propelled steam locomobile produced by “Garrett”, the tractors from “Fordson”, “Ferguson” and “Lanz Bulldog”, a 200-year-old wooden water pipe and the drainage fragment from the Lake Castle of Āraiši (9th century A.D.).

The library has a substantial collection of books, and not just about agriculture. These are publications of general interest, most likely to be used by pupils and students in their studies and research work. The museum’s infrastructure is open to people with disabilities and parents with small children. The museum has a large car park. Several shops and a cafeteria are available no more than 50 m away from the premises.
