The museum building is a listed cultural monument of national importance – the chapel of the noble line of Borch, built in 1817 and renovated in 2006.

In the chapel, visitors can see several reproductions of Renaissance paintings done by students of the Art Academy of Latvia and take the unique opportunity of visiting the tomb of the noble line of Borch.
